Determining the position on the map
You can determine the GPS data of a sensor by marking the location of the sensor in a
virtual map and using position data displayed there.
This method is useful when the GPS data is not known and it also cannot be determined
on site.
Note: Position data that is determined using this method is only an approximation.
The computer must have internet access.
Proceed as follows:

In CorreluxView-3, open the GPS management window of the sensor. In the
window, click
.
Result:
A new window opens, showing a virtual map.

In the top left, enter the approximate location of the sensor into the address field
(for example, city+street name). Then click
Search
.
Result:
The map zooms to the specified location.

Continue to move and enlarge the map using the familiar tools (for example,
mouse wheel, Ctrl+, Ctrl-, arrow keys) to go to the exact location of the sensor.

Move the cursor to the desired location on the map and click once on this point.
Result:
The GPS coordinates for this point are shown on the bottom of the
window in the
Longitude
and
Latitude
fields.
Once you click on another point in the map, the previous coordinates are replaced
with the coordinates of this new point.

If you want to accept the displayed coordinates as location of the sensor,
click
OK
.
Result:
The window closes. The last displayed GPS data are transferred to the
GPS management window.

Press
OK
to confirm the displayed position data and use it in the software.
