Check battery in the vertical fin for correct installation according to loading
plan.

Check horizontal tailplane for proper attachment and locking

Check elevator and rudder for free movement

Check trailing edge of elevator and rudder for damage

Check elevator and rudder for any unusual play by gently shaking the
trailing edge

Check that the total pressure tube head in the nose cone is clear. When
blowing gently into the tube, the ASI needle must move with pneumatic
valve set at “POWER ON”
After heavy landings, cartwheel or after the aircraft has been subjected to excessive
loads, the natural frequency of the wing vibration should be checked. Value to be
extracted from the last inspection report in the maintenance or manufacturing
records for this serial number.
Check the entire aircraft thoroughly for surface cracks and other damage. For this
purpose it should be de-rigged.
After a cartwheel check the fuselage tail boom and the lower leading edge of the
vertical fin for damage or for delaminated bulkheads. With wings rigged and fixed
pull with hand force sidewise at the horizontal tail fitting to discover excessive
deformation or buckling of the fuselage shell or cracking noise.
If damage is discovered (e.g. surface cracks in the fuselage tail boom or tailplane,
or if delamination is found at the wing roots or at the bearings in the root ribs), then
the aircraft must be grounded until the damage has been repaired by a qualified
person.
