Center of gravity in flight

Aircraft attitude:

Tail jacked up such that the upper edge of a 100 :
3.0 wedge is horizontal when placed on top of the tail
cone

Datum plane:

Wing leading edge at root rib

Maximum forward
c/g position:

290 mm (11.42 in) aft of datum plane (power plant
installed)

300 mm (11.81 in) aft of datum plane (power plant
NOT installed)

Maximum rearward
c/g position:

430 mm (16.93 in.) aft of datum

It is extremely important not to exceed the maximum rearward c/g position;
which is met by observing the minimum seat load.
The minimum seat load is given in the loading table and is shown by a label in the
cockpit.
A lower seat load must be compensated by ballast – see section 6.2.1 „Weight and
Balance Record / Permitted Payload Range“.
