Inspection and Protection Function
CSD7 Servo Drive (EtherCAT)
Servo Fault
The servo fault is a serious problem. It occurs when the servo drive
cannot control motor normaly. When the fault occurs, 3-digit fault
code and 5-digit text message as shown in the below table are
displayed by turns.

Motor cable is shorted
Check if the motor power cable or
the connector is shorted.
It occurs when the motor coil is
shorted internally.
Disconnect the motor power cable
from the motor. If the motor can
not be rotated by hand, a
replacement may be needed.

ccurs when the current exceed
the continuous power rating while
operating.
Check if the ambient temperature
is too high.
Operate within the continuous
power rating.
Decrease the acceleration and the
deceleration rate.
It o
ccurs when an unsuitable IPM
output, short circuit or over
current exist in the drive.
Check the wiring connections that
go from the DC bus to U, V, and
W terminal of motor after
disconnecting the all power cable
and the motor.
If the connections are normal,
check the wires between terminals
or repaire the drive.
It occurs when the operation
voltage of IPM in drive is low
Check if the IP16V power on the
power board is 15 V or above.

Fan attached on servo drive work
abnormally.
Check whether there are foreign
substance on the fan blade, and
remove it.
Check whether the fan cable is
connected to the servo drive
properly.

The AC input voltage is low.
(This alarm occurs when the DC
link bus voltage drops below 190V
and lasts for over 1msec in servo-
ON state.)
Check the voltage level of AC
power supply. (should be more
than AC 170V)
Check the noise or voltage drop of
AC power source.
Install a UPS (Uninterruptible
Power Supply) in AC inputs.
The AC input voltage is normal,
however the DC link voltage was
low due to excessive use of
