6.11.4

Setting steering behaviour

The reaction time, and therefore the steering behaviour of the machine, for front axle

and rear axle autopilot can be adjusted on the R-Touch in the menu "Autopilot", in the

lines "Stage front axle" and "Stage rear axle" in 5 stages, optimally for the respective

situation (value on the R-Touch from 1 to 5).
The value 1 represents a slow reaction and therefore sluggish steering behaviour, the

value 5 serves for aggressive reaction and therefore very direct steering behaviour of

the machine.

Standard

The curve mode is only useful for very sharp curves. The values saved in the curve

mode correspond to a very aggressive response of the machine. Thus, the steering

behaviour in the curve is improved. The curve mode (

) can also be switched on in

the steering display field. Once you switch off the curve mode in the display field, the

steering behaviour corresponds again to the values set in the menu "Autopilot", lines

"Stage front axle" and the "Stage rear axle".

The performance of the curve mode can be set for the autopilot in the menu "Autopi-

lot", line "Curve mode up to target offset-steer":

"On": The curve mode is automatically active until the rear axle reaches its final off-

set-steer position.

•

"Off": The curve mode is deactivated when the rear axle moves to the offset-steer

position.
