Limitations
All available functionality is supported in both signaling applications.
Setup Procedure
1. If using two R&S
CMWs, synchronize both R&S
CMWs according to the multibox
scenario.
2. Configure both FWAs on different RF converters (e.g. CDMA2000 Signaling on
RF1 COM and 1xEV-DO Signaling on RF3 COM)
3. Connect the DUT to the configured RF connectors using an external combiner.
4. Configure both signaling FWAs to the required RF frequencies and band classes.
5. Apply time settings as described in
As a result, CDMA2000 Signaling and 1xEV-DO Signaling should both be running
and the mobile should register in CDMA2000

2.2.5 External Fading
An external fading scenario allows you to route the forward baseband signal to an
R&S
AMU200A that superimposes fading on the signal and routes it back. Thus fading
can be added to the forward signal.
Configuring and activating fading
1. Connect the DUT and the R&S AMU200A to the R&S
"Test Setup for External Fading Scenarios"
2. Configure the signaling application according to the test to be performed, espe-
cially select an external fading scenario and configure the forward link settings.
3. In the configuration tree, section "IQ Settings > IQ Out", note the "Baseband PEP"
and the "Crest Factor".
4. Configure the R&S AMU200A, especially the following settings:
Reference oscillator settings:
● Source = External
● External Reference Frequency = 10 MHz
