12.2 Making Out the Electrolyte Prescription
You can distribute powder electrolyte only via the dispenser for powder additives. Make out
a prescription before starting electrolyte distribution. After you made out the electrolyte pre-
scription, it will be stored and kept up until you change it. The day quantity and concentra-
tion (g/L) of electrolyte drinking is related to animal’s weight and the severity of scours.
Turn the program switch to 9 = additives. The display shows:
Press Arrow Up or Arrow Down to move to the menu „Make
Out Electrolyte Prescription“.
Go to the next screen.
Press ENTER. Enter the number of days for electrolyte distri-
bution.
Press ENTER to confirm the input.
Enter the electrolyte amount to be daily fed (in grams per li-
ter). Press ENTER to confirm the input.
Press Arrow Right to move to the next screen.
Press ENTER. Enter the maximum quantity of electrolyte
drinking to be fed per visit. Potential input: up to 9.5 liters.
We recommend to make 1.0 to 1.5 liters electrolyte drinking available to the animal each
time it visits the feeding station.
