PICTURE - LINKING PICTURES / PHOTOS
In this menu point you can assign a picture of the model to the
appropriate model memory; the picture is then shown in the
base and start displays. The model picture is displayed when
the transmitter is switched on. When the screen asks you if the
transmitter is to broadcast an RF signal, the picture helps to
confirm that you have selected the correct model memory
The size of the picture should be 168 x 80 pixels (5.93 x 2.82
cm), and it must be saved in the .bmp format. If the picture is
larger than specified, the screen will display only the top-left
corner of the image.
The screen can display drawings converted to the .bmp format
as well as pictures from a digital camera.
IMPORTANT
:
Pictures must be located on the D/P card. The transmitter only
searches for images in that location, and if they are stored
anywhere else, they will not appear in the preview.
The D/P card must always be initialised in the transmitter
before you write data from a PC to the card. This is the proce-
dure:
• Insert the card in the transmitter and switch it on.
• The initialisation process takes place automatically, and
four folders are created on the Data Pack:
• BMP for images
• WAV for sound files
• WMA for music files
• MODEL for model memory files
Experienced computer users can also set up the folders them-
selves; if you wish to do this, please note that capital letters
must be used for the folder names.

Example of a model drawing in the form of a .bmp file. The
servo numbers and abbreviated function names marked on the
drawing make it very easy to visualise and check the model at a
glance.
Once you have selected the appropriate image and confirmed
the security query, the transmitter links the active model
memory to the selected picture.
For memory capacity reasons the picture and sound files are
ALWAYS stored on the D/P card. This means that you must
copy the associated picture at the same time as the model
memory if you need to copy the memory contents to another
D/P card for use in a second transmitter.
If this link is not present, the screen will display the standard
image assigned to the model type you have selected.
