16.2 MODEL SELECT - MODEL MEMORY SELECT
In this menu you can select the actual model memory file you
wish to use, but it is also designed for model data handling
tasks generally, such as creating new memories, copying, era-
sing and renaming.
Each model memory takes up a space of around 132 kB.
Thirty models can be stored internally, while the 32 MB DP
card supplied as standard can store approximately 200
models. The transmitter supports DP cards with a maximum
capacity of 1 GB = 7715 models. Use Toshiba high-speed CF
cards.
Note:
We strongly recommend that you create a back-up copy of
your model memory, especially if you wish to experiment with
different settings. When you switch off the transmitter, the cur-
rent data is always written to the model memory.

DELETE A MODEL MEMORY
For safety reasons it is not possible to erase the active model.
• Select the model to be erased from the list, and press the
Erase button.
• You can now erase the model by confirming the security
query with “Yes”. Selecting “No” cancels the erase pro-
cess.
• COPYING A MODEL MEMORY
•
Pressing the Copy button
calls up a window which asks
you for the source and destina-
tion of the copy process.
• Select the location of the source file; confirm with “OK”
• Select the destination location of the file; confirm with “OK”
• Press the Copy button, confirm the security query with
“Yes”.
If there is no model of that name already in the destination fol-
der, the model with the selected name will be stored in that
location. If a model of the same name is already present, the
name will automatically be assigned a sequential numerical
suffix; example: “New model 3-1”.
• MODEL MEMORY NAME
An individual name with a maximum length of 32 characters
can be assigned to each model. Press the “Name” button and
enter the appropriate name using the computer keypad which
appears on the screen.
NOTE:
The model name is stored in the model memory, and at the
same time the transmitter stores an identical PC-compatible
file name. This means that changing a file name on the PC will
have no effect on the model name displayed on the transmitter.
It is therefore always best to carry out any name changes at the
transmitter, as this ensures that the model name and the file
name remain identical.
Of course, the file names can still be changed on the PC if that
is desirable for file management purposes; however, the model
name will not change if you do this.
Changing the memory location
Transmitter symbol = internal memory
DP card symbol
= external storage on card
Change the location by pressing on the button field with the
appropriate image.
Selecting a stored model
New model memory
• Press the NEW button, and confirm the model change; at
this point the radio link is switched off
• Select the model type and confirm the change
• Enter the spot frequency, modulation and - if necessary -
the receiver number
• Confirm the frequency change, switch the transmitter off,
then on again in order to restore the radio link.
• If you wish the software to accept the model type and the
frequency data for the new model unchanged, then press
the Exit buttons for Model select and Frequency (top left
corner of the screen).
• The screen confirms the change of model memory, and
requests that you switch the transmitter off.
• Switch the transmitter on again.
