Installing the battery
Depending on usage, the pager operates for long periods of time on
a single AA alkaline battery that is included in your package. The
pager will work best if you use a standard, high quality Alkaline
battery. ULTRA batteries or Lithium AA batteries are not
recommended.
Note
When you first receive your pager, a battery is installed. For
best results from your pager, replace this battery with the
extra battery supplied in the RIM

To open the battery cover, push the lever down with your
finger.

push the lever and pull the
battery door cover off.

Be sure to check polarity – the
pager will not operate if the
battery is installed with
polarities reversed.

Once you have removed the battery cover, you can remove the
old battery and insert a new battery. When inserting the new
battery, make sure that the battery connectors are aligned for
lever
