Ensure that you have properly installed the RIM

Desktop Software Installation & Getting Started

Guide for more information on the installation procedure.

Insert the end of the cradle cable into a COM port on the back

of your PC computer. (If you do not know the number of the

COM port that the cradle is plugged into, the RIM

Inter@ctive

Pager 850

Desktop Manager can detect it for you. See the RIM

Inter@ctive

Pager 850

Desktop Manager online help for more

information.)

Insert the pager into the cradle. It should fit flush with the

bottom of the cradle, and the tab on the cradle should hold the

pager in place.
