learn how to use the RIM

the first time.
Why are my messages not being sent out?
You can tell that messages have not been sent because they have a
clock icon beside them.
•
Check that the pager’s radio modem has been turned on,
and that you are within range of network coverage. See
page 17 for information on how to turn on the radio.

Check the
Network Settings
screen to ensure that your
pager has been activated on the network. If the
Status:
field in this screen is
Pending
, call 1-877-BLK-BERRY to
have your pager activated.

You can manually attempt another transmission of your
message by resending it. As long as there is a clock icon
beside the message when you resend it, another attempt is
made to transmit the original message. A copy is not sent.
See page 74 for more information on how to resend
messages.
Why am I not receiving all my messages?
•
Is your pager in the cradle connected to your PC?
If the
pager is in the cradle and you selected the option not to
forward messages when the pager is in the cradle, you
will not receive any messages on your pager. Take the
pager out of the cradle to find out if the messages are
forwarding properly.
What should I do if a message is returned?
