You can also insert international characters into your
messages. Roll the trackwheel as you press and hold a
letter with associated international characters to scroll
through the available characters. Release the letter once
you find the one you want.
Resetting the pager
On rare occasions, the pager may report an internal pager error
message, instructing you to press ‘R’ to reset. Doing so will return
the pager to normal operation after a few minutes. Try sending
yourself a message and check that all the information has been
properly restored in the
Status
screen.
There is also a tiny hole located on the back of the pager, below the
bottom label. You can access it to reset the pager. Normally, you
will not need to access this button. However, if the pager ‘locks up’
(no longer responds when you press keys or use the trackwheel)
you may choose to use this method to reset the pager. A fine-tipped
instrument, such as a paper clip, can be inserted into this hole to
press the reset button, restarting and restoring the pager to normal
operation.
