Windows Network Environment
PostScript data sent to the printer is processed by an interpreter. The interpreter
translates programs written in the ASCII code line-by-line into a form that can
be recognized by the printer.
When the printer is connected to the computer via a parallel cable, PostScript
data is processed in units called “jobs”, and each job should have an EOF (End
Of File = Ctrl+D) to indicate the end of the data to the printer. The printer con-
tinues to perform processing with the interpreter until receiving the EOF.
When the printer is connected to a network, and since the network protocol con-
trols the transferred data of jobs, the EOF is not required. Be sure to turn off the
EOF.

tab on the Printer Properties. Then click
[ Advanced ]
