Version „SG-HVS“
Version „SG-HVS“+ Hydraulic depth adjustment
In order to achieve a correct function of the forward stop, it is essential to take some factors into account:
¾
The plow frame should be kept at an angle as flat as possible when it is raised. You can achieve this by keeping the lifting height as
low as possible and by setting the top link in an advantageous position for this application (top link mounted as high as possible on
the towing vehicle side and as low as possible on the plow side = flat excavation angle). .
¾
The turning process must be completely ended on slopes before the towing vehicle is turned downhill, otherwise the locking clamp of
the hydraulic locking system cannot lock and the wheel swivels forwards.
¾
The components of the HVS locking system (bracket / safety hook / hooking bolt) are considered wear parts and must be replaced
immediately in the event of advanced wear.
In the „SG-HVS“ version (HVS stands for hydraulic locking system), the support wheel is held backwards in the pulling direction by a locking
mechanism. The „HVS“ locking system is activated fully automatically via the hydraulic control circuit of the plow sequence control and
reduces the risk of the support wheel swinging forward when the plow is retracted. The locking clamp „C“ of the HVS is strongly pre-ten
-
sioned by means of tension spring „A“ and presses on the hooking bolt „D“ of the pendulum wheel. This keeps the bike in the rearward
position and prevents it from running forward. When turning, the pre-tensioned locking clamp „C“ is unlocked by means of hydraulic
cylinder „B“ to enable the wheel to swing to the other side. As soon as the turning process is completely finished, the safety clip „C“ returns
to the locked state.
To adjust the depth on the handle, proceed as follows:
¾
Take the load off the support wheel and remove the screw „E“.
¾
Move the support wheel in the holding bracket until the desired depth is
reached.
¾
Insert the screw „E“ in the desired position of the hole group and tighten
the screw.
¾
Check if the wheel could collide with plow components.
To adjust the depth on the spindles, proceed as follows:
¾
Take the load off the support wheel.
¾
Use the adjusting knob to adjust the spindles „F“.
¾
Reduce working depth: Turn the spindles „F“ clockwise
¾
Increase working depth: Turn the spindles „F“ counterclockwise.
¾
Set exactly the same depth on both spindles.
In the version SG-HVS + hydraulic depth adjustment, the SG-HVS system is supplemented by a double-acting hydraulic cylinder with which
the support wheel handle can be continuously moved in the mounting bracket and the working depth can be adjusted using external
power. A scale is attached on both sides so that the set depth can be read off.
There is no provision for adjusting the depth of the support wheel during plow work. To change the depth, the plow must be raised with
the hitch.
The function of the HVS (hydraulic locking system) is identical to the SG-HVS system, see chapter SG-HVS.
To adjust the depth, proceed as follows:
¾
If necessary, relieve the strain on the support wheel.
¾
Actuate the hydraulic control circuit of the depth adjustment cylinder
„A“ until the desired position is reached.
¾
You can read the currently set position on the scale „B“.
¾
Check if the wheel could collide with plow components.
¾
The adjusting spindles „C“ are fixed with a lock nut and are not used
for depth adjustment. The basic setting of the spindles should only be
adjusted if the wheel collides with plow components.
