DUAL DEPTH WHEEL
Standard
Adjustment by levers
PENDULUM DEPTH WHEEL
Version „MG“
The double wheel is particularly suitable for smaller plow models or on soils with good load-bearing capacity. With the optionally available
rubber wheels, the contact surface of the wheels can be enlarged and thus the risk of sinking into the ground can be reduced.
The adjustment is done manually by moving the wheel in the holding bracket. The desired depth
can be fixed by inserting locking pins. Make sure that exactly the same depth is set on both sides.
To adjust, proceed as follows:
¾
Hold (secure) the lower wheel with one hand using the handle „A“ on the wheel hub.
¾
Remove the linch pin and locking pin „B“ from the bracket.
Be sure to hold the wheel securely when removing the bolt, otherwise it would fall out and
possibly injure you.
¾
Move the support wheel handle in the bracket to the required position.
¾
Insert the bolt „B“ and secure it with a linch pin.
¾
Repeat the process on the second wheel (turn the plow if necessary).
The adjustment is made by moving the central adjustment lever. By adjusting the lever, both sup
-
port wheels are moved in parallel in the bracket.
To adjust, proceed as follows:
¾
Place the adjusting knob „A“ on the adjusting lever „B“, this makes the lever easier to operate.
¾
Remove both linch pins and locking pins „C“, if necessary move the lever „B“ a little up and
down to relieve the locking pins „C“.
¾
Move the lever „B“ up or down until the desired support wheel position is reached.
¾
Insert the locking pins and secure them with linchpins.
¾
You may have to move the lever „B“ a little after inserting the first bolt in order to be able to
insert the second bolt.
The pendulum support wheel automatically swivels from one side to the other when turning. The basic depth setting is determined by the
group of holes in the support wheel handle, the fine adjustment is made using two depth spindles. After setting the working depth, always
check that the wheel does not collide with other plow components (e.g. control rod, disc coulter). The versions „MG“ and „SG-HVS“ work
with different systems of a forward lock to prevent the wheel from swiveling forward when the plow is retracted.
With the “MG” version, the support wheel is swiveled backwards by a spring-loaded thorn “C” when the plow is lowered. When the plow
is lowered, the thorn digs into the ground before the wheel has contact with the ground. The wheel is brought into position by driving
forward at the same time (at least 2 km / h while the plow is being lowered).
To adjust the depth on the handle, proceed as follows:
¾
Lift the plow until the support wheel is no longer in contact with
the ground and remove the bolt A.
¾
Move the support wheel in the holding bracket until the desired
depth is reached.
¾
Insert the bolt „A“ and secure it with a linch pin.
¾
Check if the wheel could collide with plow components.
To adjust the depth on the spindles, proceed as follows:
¾
Lift the plow until the support wheel is no longer in contact with
the ground
¾
Use the adjusting knob to adjust the spindles.
¾
Reduce working depth: Turn the spindle „B“ clockwise
¾
Increase working depth: Turn the spindles „B“ counterclockwise
¾
Always set exactly the same depth on both spindles.
