TITAN- Hydraulic cutting width adjustment
TITAN - System „standard cutting width cylinder“
TITAN - System „FTS - Frame turn swing system“
TITAN - System „memory alignment cylinder“
For plow models of the Titan series, the cutting width adjustment is powered by hydraulic
cylinders. When changing the cutting width, the cutting angle is automatically adjusted to
the new cutting width. The basic setting of the cutting angle is to be carried out via a spindle
on the control rod (in the case of standard cutting width cylinder / memory alignment cylin
-
der) or via setting plates on the frame swing cylinder (in the case of FTS system).
For plows with „standard cutting width cylinder / memory alignment cylinder“, the transport
width can be reduced by reducing the cutting width.
For plows with „FTS system“, the transport width can be reduced by swinging the frame in.
For plows with „memory alingment cylinder“, the cutting width can be
adjusted in the same way as for the „Standard cutting cylinder“ system.
In addition, the cutting width is automatically reduced during the turning
process in order to increase the clearance between the ground and the
plow. After the turning process has been completed, the memory cylin
-
der automatically sets the previously set cutting width.
Hydraulic circuit A:
Hydraulic circuit A:
¾
Is used to set the cutting width.
¾
Is directly with the spool valve of the tractor connected.
¾
To adjust the cutting width, apply pressure to the coupled spool
valve until the desired cutting width is reached. Keep the danger
area clear of people (risk of crushing).
Hydraulic circuit B:
Hydraulic circuit B:
¾
Is used to reduce the cutting width for the turning process (so that
there is more space between the plow and the ground when turning)
¾
Is connected to the reversing valve of the sequence control and is
controlled fully automatically during the turning process.
For plows with „FTS system“, two hydraulic cylinders control the cutting width adjustment and fra

me alingment functions independently. The plow frame is swiveled into the center of the tractor
via cylinder “B” for every turning process without changing the cutting width. The cutting width is
set with cylinder „A“ and is never changed during a turning process.

For plows with „standard cutting width cylinder“, the cutting width is set
using a double-acting hydraulic cylinder. The cutting width cylinder is
connected directly to the spool valve of the tractor.
To adjust the cutting width, apply pressure to the coupled spool valve
until the desired cutting width is reached. Keep the danger area clear
of people (risk of crushing).
The currently set cutting width can be read on the scale (A).
