PLOUGH PULL LINE
Setting Eurostar
Setting Titan- System standard & memoryzylinder
Setting Titan- System FTS
*Toplink points to the plowed part of field
*Toplink points to the unplowed part of field
General & correct adjustment
Correct adjustment of the plough pull line reduces wear, reduces the need for traction and relieves the driver. You should therefore take
your time for this setting in order to achieve the most precise result possible.
Lower the plow and start plowing, deactivate the all-wheel drive for a few meters (this makes the front axle more sensitive). Now take off
your hands from the steering wheel for a short moment check whether the vehicle runs neutrally (straight) in the furrow without steering
intervention (without trying to run to one side). The top link should run in a straight line from the tractor to the plow. If you notice that the top
link is angled to one side, check in which direction it is pointing and change the plough pull line setting according to the following instruc
-
tions. When plowing uphill, it may be necessary to slightly increase the landside-pressure compared to the setting for flat terrain.
*In the imaginary extended line „C“, from the tractor to the plow.
In this case the plow has too much landside-pressure. It is neces
-
sary that the landside-pressure is gradually reduced until the top
link`s extended line is straight from the tractor to the plow (line „A“)
and the plough pull line is thus set to neutral.
*In the imaginary extended line „B“, from the tractor to the plow.
In this case the plow has too little landside-pressure. It is necessary
that the landside-pressure is gradually increased until the top link`s
extended line
is straight from the tractor to the plow (line „A“) and
the plough pull line is thus set to neutral.
Notice: A side pull to the unploughed one is hardly noticeable, as
a front tire of the tractor constantly runs (scrubs) against the furrow
edge and is practically supported on it.
A slight tendency for the front tire to run towards the furrow edge
(without contact) is okay.
Before you start adjusting the plough pull line, the front furrow width must already be set correctly.
In some cases, a minimal readjustment of the front furrow width may be required after the plough pull line has been set.
The plough pull line is set using spindle „A“.
¾
Open the spindle locking flap „A“ (see chapter „EUROSTAR - change the cutting width“).
¾
Increase landside-pressure: Turn the spindle “A” together (reduce the dimension „X“).
¾
Reduce landside-pressure: Turn the spindle “A” apart (Increase the dimension „X“).
¾
Close the spindle locking flap „B“ (see chapter „EUROSTAR - change the cutting width“).
The plough pull line is set using spindle „B“, to adjust you can use a wrench
with a size of 24 mm.
¾
Increase landside-pressure: Turn the spindle „A“ counterclockwise.
(Landside moves in the direction of the „+“ mark).
¾
Reduce landside-pressure: Turn the spindle „A“ clockwise.
(Landside moves in the direction of the „-“ mark).
The plough pull line is set using the adjustment plates „C“.
¾
Briefly operate the hydr. spool valve
for the turning-function unit the the frame
swivel cylinder „F“ has moved apart a little bit. The adjustment plates „C“ should
now be relieved.
¾
Remove the locking bolt „D“ and loosen the screw „E“ if necessary.
¾
Increase landside-pressure: Reduce the number of adjustment plates „C“.
¾
Reduce landside-pressure: Increase the number of adjustment plates „C“.
¾
Insert the locking bolt „D“ and secure it with a linchpin, tighten the screw „E“.
¾
Activate the hydr. control unit of the turn-control until the frame swivel cylinder is
fully retracted and rests on the adjustment plates.
