Non Stop- hydraulic
NON-STOP OVERLOAD PROTECTION
Non Stop- mechanically
General
The automatic overload protection “Non-Stop” consists of NonStop Safety-elements
“A”, which are pressed against a 4-point mounting plate “C” either by means of
springs or by means of hydraulic cylinders and can move in all directions (trigger) in
the case of stones in the ground. After the stone „B“ has been passed, the element
automatically moves back into the ground.
The pre-tensioning force of the elements (trigger pressure) can be individually adapted
to the soil conditions and the working depth. Basically, the pre-tensioning force should
be chosen so that the elements only release due to stones and are firmly anchored in
the mounting plates „C“ during normal plowing work.
For double safety, additional shear bolts „D“ are installed, see chapter „Manual
overload protection“.
This system was designed primarily for stony soils. In addition to the standard shear bolts NonStop Safety-elements are installed,
which enable safe work even on stony surfaces.
The mechanical non-stop overload protection has an internal compression spring
„A“. The trigger pressure can be changed and adjusted by means of an externally
arranged adjusting screw „C“.
Proceed as follows to adjust the trigger pressure:
¾
Lift the plow off the ground.
¾
Open the spindle lock „B“ (turn counterclockwise).
¾
Use the adjusting knob “D” to turn the spindle “C”.
¾
Increase trigger pressure: Turn the spindle „C“ clockwise.
¾
Reduce trigger pressure: Turn the spindle „C“ counterclockwise.
¾
Fix the spindle lock „B“ (turn clockwise as far as it will go).
The hydraulic non-stop overload protection has an internal hydraulic cylinder „A“
instead of the compression spring. The system is coupled with a nitrogen reservoir
„B“, which absorbs the pressure peak that occurs in the event of a stone impact
and allows the element to trigger out.
The trigger pressure can be changed from the tractor using the hydraulic control
unit (
spool valve). The selected and currently set trigger pressure can be read off
the pressure gauge „D“ when the shut-off valve „C“ is open. You can freely choose
a trigger pressure between approx. 50 and 200 bar. The minimum pressure (system
pressure) of approx. 50 bar cannot be fallen below and is essential for stability. The
system pressure is set on the sealed screw „E“ and must not be changed under any
circumstances. For service work, contact the Regent factory customer service.
Only open shut-off valve „C“ to change or control the currently set trigger pressu
-
re. To be on the safe side, the shut-off valve should be permanently closed during
plowing.
Proceed as follows to adjust:
¾
Open the shut-off valve „C“.
¾
Read the currently set trigger pressure on the pressure gauge „D“.
¾
If necessary, change the trigger pressure by using the hydr. control unit from
tractor (range 50-200 bar).
¾
Close the shut-off valve „C“.
Caution, danger to life!
¾
If the system pressure drops significantly due to a leak in the hydraulic circuit or due to improper setting of screw „E“, the stone protec
-
tion elements are no longer sufficiently pre-tensioned and the plow falls or tips over.
¾
No welding or mechanical processing may be carried out on the nitrogen reservoir!
¾
Every 4-5 years, or every 1000 hectares, check the nitrogen storage tank filling pressure by a specialist workshop and have it topped up
if necessary (filling pressure should be set to 120 bar).
