Chapter 5: Dismantling
Battery Control Board
Battery control
board
This section describes the process for replacing the battery control board as shown
in Figure 5-29.
Step Action
1.
Remove the electronics module.
2.
Remove the analog board.
3.
Remove the interface board.
4.
Disconnect the COM cable.
5.
Disconnect the power cables from the board assembly.
6.
Disconnect the Ethernet cable.
7.
Using a 5/64” Allen wrench, remove four screws on the outside of the
electronics chassis.
8.
Lift out the electronics shelf with board guides.
9.
Disconnect the battery board cable from the left rear of the battery
board.
10.
Disconnect the battery pack cable from behind the battery door at the
rear of the electronics module.
11.
Using a 5/64” Allen wrench, remove three screws securing the battery
board to the electronics chassis.
12.
Using a 5/16” nut driver remove the plate supporting the power
connection at the back of the board to the left of the fan.
13.
Disconnect the power switch cable from the left side of the board.
14.
Gently lift the battery board.
15.
Disconnect the two power cables from the front right of the board
before removing the board.
