User Manual 2461 Type C
B-3
All of the the UCT automatic functions, except Phase, default to the following signal
conditioning parameters:
Command
Measurement Function
INPUT1:ROUT COMMON
Common Channel 2 to Channel 1.
INPUT1:COMP:SETUP:AUOT ON
Auto-trigger Channel 1 (and Channel 2 due to
Common mode).
When in the automatic functions of Pulse Width and Rise/Fall Time, the signal being
measured on the UCT is on a single channel and the Common mode is automatically
enabled. Channel 1 and 2 inputs are internally connected to allow the UCT to minimize
propagation delay and mismatch. When in Common mode it is not possible to make
measurements of INPUT2.
Output Format
Measurement data from the 2461 Type C function cards is always 18 characters long. The
number is in engineering notation with a two digit exponent. The mantissa is right justified
with leading zeros inserted to indicate resolution of measurement.
Pulse Width
The additional default settings applied when the Positive Pulse Width functions are
selected are:
Command
Measurement Function
CONF1:TINT
Time Interval 1-2
INPUT1:COMP:SLOPE POS
Positive Slope, INPUT 1
INPUT2:COMP:SLOPE NEG
Negative Slope, INPUT 2
The following commands, when sent to the UCT while Positive Width is enabled, will
generate an error:
Command
Measurement Function
INPUT1:COMP:SLOPE NEG
Attempt to change slope on INPUT 1.
INPUT2:COMP:SLOPE POS
Attempt to change slope on INPUT 2.
INPUT1:COMP:SETUP:AUTO OFF1ONCE Attempt to change Auto trigger state on
channel 1
