Chapter 2: Basic Operations
Powering on the DXi8500 System

Quantum DXi8500 User’s Guide

Note:

The System Node takes approximately 15 minutes to boot

for a base system and up to 60 minutes for a full system.

During the boot process, different messages display on the

System Node LCD panel in this order:

Booting

Attention

and

Normal

. The last status on the LCD panel does NOT

indicate that the system has completed its booting process;

it indicates that the System Node has booted successfully.

Replace the front bezel on the System Node.

After the System Node has completed the boot process, the DXi8500 is

ready for use.
