3 On the back of the un-racked system rack(s), turn on ALL of the
power switches on the power strips. Figure 43 shows the location of
the power strips in the back of the base rack.

4 Choose one of the following options:
• If you are not using Expansion modules, skip this step and
continue to Step 5 .
• If you are using Expansion modules, turn on both power
switches on the back of each Expansion module, one at a time,
waiting approximately 30 seconds before powering on the next
Expansion module (see Figure 44 and Figure 45 ). Note that the
drive sleds will have no LED activity and will remain dark until all
of the Array modules have been powered on.
