PT113
Instruction Manual

•
vCal Electronic calibration without calibration weights. This can be performed with AzComT or
fieldbus (Modbus, including RS-232C (6.3.3.4)).
•
Zero adjustment and span adjustment in sequence via fieldbus or AzComT. Span calibration
requires a calibration weight unless performed with vCal. You may save just the zero calibration
if required without continuing to span adjustment.(Error: Reference source not found).
•
Zero adjustment and span adjustment under load, performed in sequence via keys, if the scale
cannot be emptied when span adjustment is required. Calibration weights are required for span
calibration. (Error: Reference source not found).
You can access the calibration menu from AzCom as described later in the manual [4.8.2].
Remember: You can use AzCom to monitor the load cell output voltage during loading for diagnostic
purposes if you can not perform the calibration due to errors.
4.9 COMMISSIONING
Please read this manual carefully before energising the instrument. Perform commissioning according
to the procedures given in this section. Only trained person should be permitted for cleaning,
commissioning, checking and servicing of the instrument. The interference of untrained persons may
cause some unwanted damage or injury.
•
Before powering on the instrument, please make the required mechanical and electrical
installations.
•
After powering on, you have to program your PT113 before field bus interfacing.
•
When configured, the PT113 can be calibrated to transmit the correct weight.
Install AzComT software on your PC as described in [6.1], AzComT software is used for programming,
calibration and testing of PT113 instruments.
After checking the performance of instruments with AzComT, make the PT113 fieldbus connection
required in your application.
Check the scale performance by testing the scale eccentricity, scale linearity with loading up to the
maximum loading value, repeatability, etc. before putting the scale into use.
Warning:
•
Scale set-up and calibration should be performed according to the needs of your application.
Please read this document carefully and select the parameter values which will fit your
application before programming and using the instrument.
