Visual Weight Display:
Displays the weight, count or force values.
Toolbox:
Includes short-cuts for some special commands.
Analogue Digitiser Parameters:
This block allows the user to set up the Analogue
Digitiser’s parameters related to it's operating mode. Refer to ‘Section 6.3.1 below’
RS-232C:
RS-232C serial port communication settings. (PT113MB Only)
RS-485:
RS-485 port communication settings. (PT113MB Only)
Description:
This block helps to explain to the user the parameter meaning.
Read from Digitizer:
Click this button to read the parameters from the instrument.
Write to Digitizer:
Click this button to save the parameters to the instrument.
Default:
Click this button to load the default parameters into parameter fields.
Clear:
Empties the values of the parameters on the monitor.
Figure 4.1 - PT113 setup parameters
Use the Setup tab for loading or entering the parameter values, adjusting their values and then writing
this data to the PT113. After writing parameter values to the Analog Digitizer, calibrate the Digitizers.
6.3.1.1 Increased External Resolution
This parameter enables checking of the weight value with 10 times increased resolution than the
programmed division in weighing and force mode to aid the service technician.
Increased resolution must be disabled for use in normal process weighing.
Default is ‘Disable’. (Not available in Count Mode).
6.3.1.2 Digital Filter
Environmental noises like bouncing forces, air flow, vibration, motor control instruments, etc. disturb the
load cell signal. The selection of the proper filter setting determines how quickly the system will react to
the load cell signal.
Load cell signal digital filtering is performed according to the selected value of this parameter. The
parameter values can be set from 0 (fastest settling with low filtering) to 9 (slowest settling with high
filtering).
Default is ‘7’.
6.3.1.3 Motion Detection
This parameter defines the motion detection window which determines if the weighing status is stable or
dynamic. If a stable weight status is not required, this parameter can be disabled.
The available motion detection window values are;
Weighing and Force Mode:
± 0.3e
± 0.5e
± 1e
± 2e
None
Default is ‘± 0.5’.
Count Mode:
± 60
± 100
± 200
± 400
None
