5.1.3 Programming Switch
The programming switch is used to manually set the device number as described in the following and to
access the testing diagnostic routine as described in 7.2DIAGNOSTIC TESTS
Field bus addressing of PT113 transmitters is conveniently performed with AzComT software (Refer to
Section 4.8.1 PROGRAMMING). The alternative method of setting an address is by using the
programming switch on the front panel to sen an address between 0 and 7 for RS-485, Profibus and
CANopen interfacing. This feature gives you the practical advantage of setting the addresses of up to 7
instruments without requiring a PC connection.
For addressing with the programming switch, press and hold this switch for 5 seconds with a thin
insulated rod. The status LEDs then indicate the field bus address as seen the table below. If the
address is set higher than 7, all the LEDs flash. The address can be changed by pressing the
programming switch sequentially. To save and exit, press and hold the programming switch for 5
seconds. To return to normal operation without saving, wait 15 seconds without pressing the switch.
