52 Stratum Installation and Maintenance Guide
The following table describes the available SNMP Management/Configuration parameters:
Field Description
Read Community
String The Stratum responds only to GET requests whose
community string value matches this field.
Write Community
String The Stratum responds only to SET requests whose
community string value matches this field.
Trap Community
String All alarm messages are sent with this community string.
SNMP Trap
Destinations The network management workstations with the IP
addresses in this list will receive alarm traps.
IP Addr Screening The Stratum will accept SNMP GET and SET requests
from these IP addresses only. These values will be ignored
if the
IP Screening field is set to Disabled.
SNMP Agent
If this field is set to Disabled then all SNMP management
functions are disabled.
IP Screening If this field is set to Disabled then IP address screening is
disabled.
If this field is set to
Enabled , then only the five IP
addresses in the IP Addr Screening table can access the
Stratum through SNMP; normal SNMP requests using the
Read and Write Community Strings will fail unless
performed by one of the authorized IP addresses.
Configure the above parameters as necessary within the SNMP Management screen. Then, choose the SNMP
Agent field and use the space bar to toggle the value to Enabled (VT-100) or use the drop-down menu (HTML) to
enable this option.
Choose Apply to save changes.
