PC card file function
Use the PC card file function to project documents you have created using your own soft-
ware rather than slides edited and stored using the viewer software.
Select “PC Card Files” to display the file selection window.
• The PC card file function cannot be selected if no CompactFlash card is loaded. (“PC Card
Files” is displayed in white characters.)
• The file formats that can be used with the PC card file function are as follows:
.txt Text files
.idx Index files
.htm HTML files
.jpg Image files in JPEG format
.bmp Image files in bitmap format
Files of other formats can be displayed on the file list when “All” is selected, but they cannot be
opened.
Note:
The “PC Card Files” window may not be displayed properly when signals of XGA or greater (with a resolu-
tion of 1024 x 768 dots or greater) are being projected.
Cursor
Functions of parts
File list:
A list of the files stored on the CompactFlash card is displayed here.
Scroll bar:
The list scrolls one line at a time when the SELECT
▲▼
button is pressed while the cursor is at the top or bottom
of the list. (The scroll bar is displayed when there are more files on the file list than can be displayed in the file list
area.)
Path:
The path of the selected file is displayed here.
Info.:
The total number of files on the file list is displayed here.
Sort:
Use this to sort the files by file name, extension, date or size, in ascending or descending order. Press the
SELECT
button to display a pull-down list.
File Group: Files of the selected type (“All”, “.txt”, “.idx”, “.htm”, “.jpg” or “.bmp”) are displayed on the file list. Press the SE-
LECT
button to display a pull-down list.
When “All” is selected, even files that cannot be opened are displayed on the file list.
