Connecting external antennas
External AM antenna
Use 5–6 meters of vinyl-insulated wire and set up either
indoors or outdoors. Leave the AM loop antenna
connected.
External FM antenna
Use a PAL connector to hook up an external FM antenna.
Using the front panel connections
On the left side of the front panel a flip-down cover hides
the
LINE 2
audio/video inputs, consisting of an S-video
and standard (composite) video jack and stereo analog
audio jacks, and a headphone jack.
On the right side is the DV input/output i.LINK connector.
This is for connection to a DV camcorder.
Connecting a game console or video player
•
Connect a set of audio and video outputs on your
game console, video player to the front panel inputs
on this system.
• You can use ordinary video or S-video cables for the
video connection.
Connecting a DV camcorder
Using the front panel
DV IN/OUT
jack, it is possible to
connect a DV camcorder or video deck, or DVD-R/RW
recorder and digitally transfer DV tapes or DVD-R/RW
discs to DVD-R/RW.
Important
• This jack is for connection to DV equipment only. It is
not compatible with digital satellite tuners or D-VHS
video decks.
•
Use a DV cable (not supplied) to connect the DV
in/out jack on your DV camcorder/deck to the front
panel DV IN/OUT jack of this system.
