• If you have not set up you VCR Controller, the following display appears.
2 Press the A button to start the recording.
• The settop displays REC.
• Most of the remote buttons are locked. This is to maintain the integrity of the active
recording. To override the button locks, push the STOP or EXIT button, the other control
buttons become functional. This ends the recording.
• The audio level is automatically converted to the optimal level for recording (FIXED) until
the recording is complete. It then automatically reverts to the previous level set.
Stopping your VCR
To stop your recording, use the settop remote and press STOP or EXIT. Your recording should then
stop.
Setting VCR Timers
• VCR timers can only be set on future programs, not current ones.
• Be sure that your VCR is turned on.
• Be sure that there is a recordable blank tape in your VCR. If you are reusing a tape, be sure that
the record tabs have not been removed.
• You must have successfully completed the procedure to set up your VCR Controller.
