Using Parental Control
7 To delete the current time lock, highlight the Clear All option.
8 Press the SELECT button and the option column displays.
9 From the option column, you may select to do one of the following:
• To continue configuring the parental control options, select the next option you wish to set.
• To continue configuring other Settings, press the left arrow button once to return to the
preference display and select the next preference you wish to set.
• To exit the Settings menu, press the EXIT button.
Locking Titles
Passport DCT lets you lock titles rated NC-17 and Adult. Not only are programs blocked so that
household members can only watch them if they know the PIN, the titles and program descriptions
do not display in the Program Guide, the Channel Banner and elsewhere. You select the Lock Titles
option in the Parental Control preference as described in the procedure below. Once you have
specified the lock setting (Yes), you must turn on locking to enable the parameters. For a detailed
overview of how parental control functions, refer to About Parental Control on page 97.
To lock titles
1 Press the SETTINGS button. The Settings menu displays.
2 Press the up or down arrow button to highlight the Parental Control preference.
3 Press the right arrow to move to the Option column.
4 Press the numbered buttons to enter the four numbers of your PIN. You now see the Option
column.
5 Press the up or down arrow button to highlight the Lock Titles option.
