recorded is 24 frame/sec progressive scan. See
PureCinema in the glossary on page 96.
*2 The ‘ ! ’ mark means that the content is scrambled with
CPRM.
• If Frame Search is On (see page 87 ), the frame
number is shown next to the elapsed time display
when the disc is paused.
• Transfer frame rate shows the amount of video and
audio information recorded on the disc. It is not an
indication of picture/audio quality.
• In the recording or stop display, One Time Rec or
Can’t Record may appear. This means that the TV
program contains copy control information.
• The stop display of a Video mode disc becomes the
same as a DVD-Video disc once the disc is finalized.
• In the recording display, the total recording time
figure in parenthesis is calculated based on a 12cm/
4.7GB disc at the displayed record setting.
• Recording and playback times for TV recordings are
approximately 0.1% shorter than the actual time.
This is because of the slightly different frame rates
of TV broadcasts versus DVD.
