Parental Lock

Some DVD-Video discs feature a Parental Lock level. If
the recorder is set to a lower level than the disc, it will
require you to enter a password before the disc will
play. This gives you some control about what your
children watch on your DVD recorder.
Not all discs that you may consider inappropriate for
your children use the Parental Lock feature. These
discs will always play without requiring the password
first.
Registering a new password and
setting/changing the parental lock
level
When you change the parental lock level for the first
time (or after resetting the recorder), there is no
password set. When you are asked to input your
password, key in the number you want to use as your
password and it will be registered.
• If you forget your password, you can reset all the
recorder settings, including the password.
• Some discs contain only certain scenes that are
restricted using parental lock. If the password is not
entered, the disc will play, but these scenes will be
skipped automatically.

Select ‘Level Change’.
2Use the number buttons to input your
password, then press ENTER.
• If there is no existing password, the number you
input will be registered as your password.

Move the joystick left or right to lock/unlock
levels.
• You can’t lock level 1.

Press ENTER to set the parental lock level.
