4 Getting Started
Displaying disc information
on-screen
You can display various information about the
disc loaded on-screen.
1 Press DISPLAY repeatedly to display/change
the information displayed on-screen.
2To remove the on-screen display, press
DISPLAY repeatedly until it disappears.
See the following page for detailed explanation of each
display.
• The on-screen display automatically disappears
after 150 minutes.
3 Select ‘Disc Setup’ from the menu.
4 Select ‘Finalize’ from the sub-menu.
5 Select ‘Start’.
The recorder starts finalizing the disc.
• If the finalization process is going to take more than
around 4 minutes, you can press ENTER to cancel.
Around 4 minutes before completion, the option to
cancel disappears.
• How long finalization takes depends on the type of
disc, how much is recorded on the disc and the
number of titles on the disc. A disc recorded in VR
mode can take up to 1 hour to finalize. A disc
recorded in Video mode can take up to 20 minutes.
If you load a DVD-RW that has already been finalized
on a different DVD recorder, you can ‘un-finalize’ it by
choosing
Undo Finalize from the Finalize menu. After
doing this, you can edit and re-record onto the disc.
