The system automatically switches the lamp on, sets up the optical path (prism and grating),
sets and peaks the wavelength, sets the slit, and performs an Automatic Gain Control (AGC)
and Automatic Intensity Control (AIC).

8.

Turn the two alignment controls alternately and in small increments while watching the AA bar
graph and the numerical energy display. Align the lamp to obtain maximum energy.

Uncoded multi-element Lumina lamp

1.

Follow steps 1-5 of the coded single element Lumina lamp.

2.

Touch the

Element

entry field box on the Lamp page to display the Select Element dialog. Select

the desired elements. Use the

Clear

button to remove unwanted element from the selected list.

Touch

OK

Touch the

Setup Instrument

button on the Lamp page of the touch screen. The recommended

parameters for that element are automatically set up.
