In case of parking, always apply the handbrake.
° Ensure to know well the location and the activation of the fire exits(they are identified by an adhesive).
° Leave the evacuation places free.
° It is convenient to have a series of stopping wedges to be inserted in contact with the wheels in case
of stop uphill or downhill, or when it is necessary to block the vehicle in security( for example for
the wheel change).
° Remember that, when you leave the motorhome unattended, you have to close all the doors, windows
and the motorhome truck.
° If you sell your motorhome, remember to deliver to the new owner all operating manuals and those
of the on board installed devices, as well as the receipt of all car services done.
° Never use portable devices for the heating or for the cooking which may be different from electric
radiators that don’t have a direct radiation, as they imply fire or asphyxia danger.
° Never do on your own repairing or changes to the electrical or GPL systems, unless they are done
by skilled staff that takes responsibility for it.
° Place the dry chemical extinguisher ion conformity with the ISO 7165 with a minimum capacity of
1 Kg near the main exit door, and a fire cover near the cookers.
Study the instruction of the extinguisher and the local rules about fire prevention.
° Respect the maximum weights allowable for the beds( ca. 100 Kg for the single bed and 180 Kg
for the double beds).
Security rules on trip
° Before departure check the steering wheel, the brakes and the functioning of all light and signalling
devices as well as the right anti-rotation block of the revolving plates in the driver cabin.
° After a long inactivity period, let the brakes’ system, the gas plant and the electrical system of the
housing cell be checked by an authorised repair shop
CAUTION
° Always check the weight of all objects that you mean to load on the motorhome.
° For any reason the total net technically admissible weight of the full-load motorhome must be
exceeded.
° In calculating the total weight consider the load on the roof rack that must be distributed uniformly
on the surface of the rack itself and that must not exceed the total weight of 80 kg.
° remember that the weight of the clear waters’ tank contributes to the total technically admissible
weight.
° In march passengers must seat down and occupy the seats checked off by a label reporting
“passengers seats” or similar graphic symbol or where there is a seatbelts’ system. The log book of
your motorhome reports the homologated seats number. As regards the seatbelts the different national
dispositions are valid.
° Use, to see back, only the side wing mirrors.
° In determining your driving style remember that the basic chassis is that of a commercial vehicle.
Always remember the maximum height from the ground of your motorhome (reported in the log
book) in case of underpasses, tunnels, arcades, covered parking etc.).
°Also remember the wide lateral surface of motorhomes makes them particularly sensitive to blasts
of wind. Moderate the speed during these phenomena and while surpassing trucks.
° In winter, before departure free the roof from possible snow or ice.
