If ABR wins, the result is a PASS .
Test duration for babies:
Approximately 1½ minutes on babies with normal hearing.
• Add comments and view results as required. See Section 6.4,
‘Interpretation of the results” on page 54 .
• You can now scroll to select the patient's other ear on the
screen and, if required, reposition the baby so that you can test
the other ear.
• Before you continue testing the other ear, check to make sure
that the probe is clean. See also
Section 12.1, ‘Probe cleaning
and maintenance” on page 81 .
6.2 Monitoring the test
6.2.1 TEOAE tests
The LED flashes green during the test.
If the LED is red, this indicates an error during testing:
• The probe is unstable, or
• Artifacts are present, indicating high environmental noise or a
noisy baby.
In these cases, check the test conditions and make sure that the probe
fits.
If required, press STOP to stop the test.
Tests with a Stopped result are not saved. Accordingly, they cannot be
retrieved in the View results screens and they cannot be printed
out.
If the message Unstable appears please check if the probe fits correct-
ly.
If you press OPT , the artifact and stimulus values are shown on the
display:
