Before You Start

4.1

Safety

This User Manual contains information and warnings that must be

followed to ensure safe performance of the AccuScreen PRO. Local

government rules and regulations should also be followed at all

times.

The AccuScreen PRO and the AccuScreen PRO User Manual are
marked with this symbol when it is important that you take notice
of a warning.

Do not connect any external device (e.g. printer) to the AccuScreen
PRO during testing.

WARNING:

The following conditions or practices might present possible injury

or danger to the patient and/or the user:

•

If the AccuScreen PRO is used during surgery, the probe and

connectors must not touch conductive items including

ground.

•

During application of HF surgical devices, the AccuScreen

PRO must not be used.

•

During application of defibrillators, the AccuScreen PRO must

not be used.

•

The probe socket is intended to connect the ear probe to the
AccuScreen PRO device. No other device may be connected to
this socket.

4.2

Unpacking the AccuScreen PRO

Unpack your AccuScreen PRO carefully. Inspect the equipment for
possible visual damage. Make sure that you have received all neces-
sary parts and accessories.

If your package is incomplete, contact your service department. If
damage has occurred, the device should not be put into operation.
In such a case, please contact your service department for assistance.
