Verification
To test an instrument for
gas leaks
proceed as follows:
•
Make sure software revision AOPX2.24 or higher is installed.
•
Install a gas bottle and go to
Diag1 – Gas
menu. The pressure gas
remaining must be at least 50%. Make sure the printer has paper
installed.
•
Go to
Diag2 – FSET
and press
ENTER
. Type
“3350” ENTER
(password). Next select the menu item
GAS
. This will activate an
automatic gas leak test, which will last 2 hours. After one hour, the unit
will print a 1
st
pressure reading. At the end of the 2
nd
hour, the pressure is
printed again.
•
For the test to pass, the difference between the two pressures must be less
than +/- 30 units.
In case of a leak (test failed) replace all tubing, the pump cartridge and the pump
ports. Verify that the white nipples below the pump ports are intact (check both
sides!). If available, replace the Lee gas valve. Repeat the test above, using a
different gas bottle. In case of a repeat failure, the entire gas module needs to be
replaced.
To test the
Aerodyne module output flow
, proceed as follows:
•
Take a
full
gas bottle and insert the bottle into the OPTI.
•
Go to
DIAG3 – Valve
and press
ENTER
. Press the right arrow key to
de-activate the gas valves.
•
Remove the pump cartridge.
•
Press the left arrow key once and listen for gas coming out the rear pump
port. Press the left arrow key right away to deactivate the gas valve.
•
If you cannot hear the gas flow, the gas manifold module needs to be
replaced.
Display Assembly
Removal
The Osmetech OPTI CCA uses a backlit LCD display module to display
operating instructions and analyzer results. To remove the LCD display, first
open the lower portion of the analyzer and disconnect the ribbon cable J13 and J5
on the main board. The storage compartment and gas manifold module must also
be removed. Next remove the four (4) screws which hold the LCD display
assembly in place. The assembly can now be removed.
