Battery Receptacle
Removal
The Osmetech OPTI can be operated by either battery or by AC power.
To remove the battery receptacle, first remove the battery from the analyzer. The
lower housing portion of the analyzer must be opened for access. Locate the
battery receptacle and disconnect the internal cable

from the main board.
Next remove the two (2) retaining screws and pull the receptacle out of the
analyzer.

Installation
Follow the reverse order to install the new battery receptacle. Make sure the tape
covering the bottom slots is in place (See Figure above).
Verification
To test the battery receptacle remove the battery. Turn the instrument on powered
by the power supply. Check the battery charge LED on the backside of the
instrument. The LED should be off. As the battery is inserted the LED should
start blinking fast (4 times per second) or come-on solid. If this test passes,
disconnect the power cord and verify that the instrument continues to operate.
