Service Manual – Osmetech OPTI™ Analyzer

Installation 

Install the barcode reader module in reverse order. Make sure the replacement 
barcode reader has the copper foil around the black barrel as well as a cable tie to 
serve as a strain relief. Otherwise transfer these items form the old barcode reader 
before installation. 

 

Verification 

Go to 

DIAG1 – Bcode 

and swipe a cassette barcode.  The cassette barcode 

should appear on the display screen.  
Note: the displayed barcode is preceded with one additional character (signifies 
barcode type).
