Address Book Configuration
The
Address Book
page allows for the configuration of address book entries that can be used
for the speed dial execution of calls.
The
Address Book
page is divided into two sections. The top half of the screen displays the
current address book table that have been configured for the selected Endpoint.
The bottom half of the screen can be used for editing the address book. This includes adding
new entries, deleting existing entries, modifying existing entries and displaying the values
corresponding to an entry index or speed dial index in the address book.
Follow the steps below to access and configure the
Address Book
page.
Step 1:
To access
Address Book
, click the
Advanced
link located at the top right-hand side
of the page.
Step 2:
Click
Address Book
on the left menu. The
Address Book
page appears:
Step 3:
Select ‘1’ to configure PHONE 1 or ‘2’ to configure PHONE 2 from the list box.
Step 4:
Enter
the
Display Name
for this address book entry.
Step 5:
Enter the Phone number in the
Number
field. Do not add any spaces in this field.
Step 6:
Enter
the
IP Address/Domain Name
that applies to this address book entry you are
currently adding. This field is optional if the
IP Address
field is entered. Similarly, if
you leave this field blank, ensure that the
Number
field is populated.
Step 7:
Enter
the
Port Number
using the SIP port number on which the remote end will
receive the call. This field is useful when you want to specify non-telephone number
entries, where the call can be made directly without going through the configured
