The following table describes the settings for the ATA Timer Configuration window and their
definitions:
Field Name
Description
Phone
Phone ‘1’ is the default option. Select ‘1’ to configure
PHONE 1 or select '2' to configure PHONE 2. When a
phone is selected, the other fields in this section are
refreshed with the currently configured values.
Predial Timeout (secs)
The pre-dial timer indicates the time period through which
the dial tone is heard once the phone has been lifted off the
hook. At the end of this period (e.g. 10 seconds), if no digits
are entered, you will hear a fast and busy tone on your
phone.
Alert Timeout (secs)
The Alert timer indicates the time when the OPEN 812L
VoIP ATA router will ring when an incoming call is received
and the phone is off the hook. After the timer seconds have
run out, the OPEN 812L VoIP ATA router will automatically
stop ringing and reject the call.
Disconnect Timeout (secs)
The disconnect timer indicates the time when the fast and
busy tone will be heard when a call has been disconnected
by the other party
.
At the end of this time, a warning or
warbling tone
can be heard until the user hangs up the
phone.
RingBack Timeout (secs)
The Ringback timer indicates the time period when the
OPEN 812L VoIP ATA router will wait while the Ringback
tone is played for the final response from the other end. This
happens after the initial response has been made after an
outgoing call has been made.
Call Progress Timeout (secs)
The CallProgress timer indicates the time period when the
OPEN 812L VoIP ATA router will wait for the initial response
once an outgoing call has been made.
Call Waiting Timeout (secs)
The CallWaiting timer indicates the period when the call-
waiting tone can be heard when an incoming call is received
in an active connection state. The Call Waiting tone can be
heard at intervals of 10 seconds. It is configurable using the
Call Waiting tone parameters.
Call Fwd No Ans Timeout
(secs)
This field indicates the time after the call has been
forwarded but there was no answer or response.
