DESCRIPTION:
a)
This parameter allows you to enable or disable telediagnostic testing from a remote terminal. In more
simple terms, this allows the user to choose whether to authorise remote monitoring of his/her fax
machine. If this function is enabled (ON), the remote terminal can interrogate the fax machine, receive
information about its operation and change its settings.
More specifically, the remote terminal can:
set the fax machine’s installation parameters
The remote terminal displays the fax machine’s installation parameters in order to check and, if
necessary, modify the parameter values.
perform diagnostic testing
the remote terminal monitors information concerning configuration parameters, the last journal and
transactional statistics (connection conditions, errors detected, number of pages transmitted and
received etc.). Analysis of these data allows the remote terminal to modify the value of certain
parameters if required by remote control in order to guarantee the optimum performance of your fax
machine.
b)
The parameter also provides line monitor selection. If the line monitor function is selected, the user will
be able to monitor the signals exchanged between the local and remote fax machines during the initial
connection phase.
