WHAT IS MEANT BY PROGRAMMING?

To use the fax machine efficiently and in accordance with your personal requirements you will need to
program it before proceeding.
Programming refers to the possibility of setting up the machine parameters with a series of values that will
subsequently define the

way

in which the various functions are performed. For example, depending on the

type of programming, the fax display messages can be shown in any one of the various languages
available, or you can set certain telephone or fax numbers which can be dialled simply by pressing one key,
as in the “One touch dial” mode.

The fax parameters already contain the preset programming values. The user can freely alter these values
to personalise the fax programming to match his or her needs. The preset or ‘factory set’ programming
values, however, can be restored whenever necessary.

the menus shown in the adjacent boxes.

These parameters make it possible to print out the programmed values so
that the user can keep a global check on the factory set values and the
personalised values.

Fax programming is not restricted to installation and set-up parameters.
Specialised functions such as

TAD settings

can be programmed

in the parameters accessed from the menus shown in the adjacent
column.
