ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

From time to time your fax machine will require simple routine maintenance, such as removal of jammed
paper, replacement of accessories, cleaning of the optical scanner, cleaning of the print head, etc. You can
carry out all these operations yourself which are very simple.

REMOVING A JAMMED DOCUMENT

If a document you want to send gets jammed, first try to eject it by pressing 

STOP

. If this fails, proceed as

follows.

A jammed document is indicated by the message shown on the right.

1. 

Raise the operator console and remove any documents
remaining in the feeder.

 

 

 

2. 

Remove the jammed document by releasing the white
roller, proceed as indicated in the procedure: 

Cleaning

the Optical Scanner

.

 

3. 

Refit the roller, lower the operator console, replace the
documents in the document feeder and repeat the
transmission procedure.
