Replacing a toner cartridge

Order Numbers:

Hight Yield Toner Cartridge:
497-1 (Black)
497-2 (Cyan)
497-3 (Magenta)
497-4 (Yellow)

The hight yield toner cartridges can print
approximately 5,000 pages (Black) and
approximately 4,000 pages each (Cyan,
Magenta and Yellow). Actual page count will
vary depending on your average type of
document (i.e., standard letter, detailed
graphics).

The standard toner cartridges shipped with
the machine can print apporoximately
2500 pages (Black) and apporoximately
1500 pages each (Cyan, Magenta and
Yellow).

It is a good idea to keep new toner

Toner life end message

When the following message appears on the
LCD, you need to replace the toner cartridge.
The second line of the LCD indicates which
color you need to replace.

Toner Life End

Replace Black(K)

Discard the used toner cartridge according to
local regulations, keeping it separate from
domestic waste. Be sure to seal up the toner
cartridge tightly so that toner powder does not
spill out of the cartridge. If you have
questions, call your local waste disposal
office.

Note

We recommend that you clean the
machine and corona wires of the drum unit
when you replace a toner cartridge. (See
