13.0 CONTROLLER AND DISPLAY
Introduction
The Controller and Display, together, form the control system of the Trinity Ts. All control configuration
parameters are stored in non-volatile memory in the Ts controller. Access to controller status and configuration is
achieved with the display; however, the controller is completely capable of operating with the display
disconnected. Controller factory settings must be field adjusted to suit the application and system requirements.
Please read the following document carefully as factory settings are not configured for a
particular application and may require adjustment in order to satisfy system requirements.
Example: The factory setting for central heat setpoint is 180°F [82°C] which is well suited for many “low mass-
high temperature” systems; however, it should be adjusted down for “high mass-low temperature” heating
systems (i.e. 100-130
o
F for infloor heat or 130-160
o
F for cast iron radiator systems).
It is the responsibility of the installer, a licensed qualified heating technician, to configure and commission the
unit and adjust any parameters required to comply with the application and satisfy the system requirements. See
Table 13-1 for a list of the minimum parameters to be considered
/ adjusted prior to putting the unit into operation.
