Recording the
mailbox in the
Company
Directory
Before You
begin
The Company Directory stores a list of mailbox owners in your company,
Before a mailbox can receive messages, the mailbox owner’s name must be
recorded in the Company Directory. Whether or not a mailbox appears in the
Directory is determined by the Company Directory override established by the
System Coordinator.
Before you begin to initialize the Special Mailboxes, prepare the passwords that
you will use to open the mailboxes. Remember, the passwords must be
between four and eight digits in length and cannot start with zero (0). Ensure
that you write down and keep the password for each Special Mailbox in a safe

receptionist or designated operator.
To initialize the Special, Information, or Personal Mailboxes:
