Section 4: Preparing to set up Custom Call Routing (CCR)

The 

 Tree is assembled by assigning options to menus, and then assign-

ing either voice Information Messages, transfers or mailboxes to the options
along a call Path,

A Home Menu has a recorded list of options directing a caller to one of the
following:

.

an Information Message

.

a mailbox to leave a message

an extension

The Home Menu voice prompt you record, plays immediately after the Com-
pany Greeting.

A call Path is a branch of the CCR Tree. It consists of an Information Mes-
sage, a Leave Message Point, or a Transfer Point. Each Point is identified by a

Path number. A Path number is the single-digit that callers enter to route

themselves along the call Path of the CCR Tree.

The CCR Tree call path can have a maximum of eight Paths. The Home Menu

is always Path 

In the sample Tree, Figure 4.1, in this guide, Path 

 or the Home Menu

provides the caller with four options. Option 1 branches to Path   Option 2
branches to Path   Option 3 branches to Path   Option 4 branches to
